Extension Privacy Policy

This policy applies specifically to the Purchandise Product Sync browser extension. For the Purchandise website and web app, see our site privacy policy.
Purchandise Product Sync (“the extension”) is a browser extension that imports your own BuyWander purchase history into your Purchandise account. This policy explains exactly what the extension accesses, what it does with it, and what it does not do.
The short version: the extension reads your own BuyWander order and auction-win history from your already-signed-in BuyWander session and copies it into your own Purchandise account.
Your data travels only from your browser to your Purchandise account. There is no Purchandise-operated middleman server, proxy, or analytics pipeline. We do not sell, rent, or share your data, and we do not collect payment-card numbers, expiry dates, or card brands.
What the extension accesses
When you click Sync My Orders on
buywander.com, the extension uses your existing
authenticated BuyWander session to read:
- Order history: order numbers, dates, item titles, SKUs, quantities, prices, order/fulfillment/financial status, taxes, discounts, store location, WanderBucks, and item images.
- Auction-win history: won-auction records (catalog details, condition, tags, descriptions, images, store location) used to enrich the imported products, plus cancelled-auction records.
- Basic account identity: your BuyWander name, email, phone, handle, and account flags (e.g. tax-exempt status), used solely to match the import to the correct Purchandise account.
The extension does not read or store payment-card numbers, card brand, card last-four digits, or card expiry dates.
How the data is handled
- The data is read in your browser, on the BuyWander tab, using your own session cookies. No credentials or passwords are read or transmitted.

The structured result is held briefly in the browser’s local
extension storage (
chrome.storage.local) only to hand it off to your Purchandise tab. - As soon as the Purchandise tab receives the data, the stored copy is deleted. If a Purchandise tab is never opened, the stored copy auto-expires and is removed after 10 minutes.
- The data is delivered to the Purchandise web app running in your browser, which saves it into your Purchandise account.
What we do NOT do
- We do not send your data to any server operated by the extension itself.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share your data with anyone.

We do not access any websites other than
buywander.comandpurchandise.com.
Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions required to perform the
sync: scripting, activeTab,
storage, tabs, and
notifications, plus host access to
buywander.com (to read your order history) and
purchandise.com (to deliver it). Each is used solely for the
import described above.
Data retention
The extension itself retains data only transiently (see “How the data is handled”). Once imported, your order data lives in your Purchandise account and is governed by the Purchandise site privacy policy and your account settings.
